Our Blade are handmade in Nepal.
This large and hefty blade is inspired by the machete wielded by Denzel Washington’s character Eli in The Book of Eli. A thick-spined chopper of a blade, it is crafted from 5160 high carbon steel and differentially tempered to optimize the blade. The edge is hard (56-60 HRC) to resist dulling and the body and spine (45-46 HRC and 22-25 HRC) are of softer steel to give the blade some shock-absorbing properties and to ensure that it is not so hard throughout that it is brittle. Two halves of carved rosewood have been riveted to the thick tang for a grip. It comes with a water-buffalo leather sheath with a basic adjustable strap that allows it to be worn on the back.
